Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love. Romantic love, self-love, and the love between family and friends. Although love is something to celebrate on the daily, it is fun to remind those around you of how you feel on this special day.
Simple Bookmarks
As I was browsing Pinterest one night, I came across this idea for Valentine’s bookmarks. While they are great just to mark a page, they are also a neat idea for class valentines and writing affirmations on for little positive self-reminders.
Here is how you make the bookmarks:
Cute and Fun Valentines Bookmarks
Equipment
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 single hole-punch
- 1 heart-shaped hole-punch
- Roll thin ribbon
- paint sample cards
Instructions
- Punch a hole in the top, center of each paint sample card with the single-hole punch.
- Using the heart-shaped hole-punch, punch a heart into the left side of each color on the card, skipping the top one.
- Cut a strip of ribbon approximately 12" in length and fold in half.
- Thread the two ends through the single-hole, and loop them back through the enclosed end of the ribbon before pulling tight.
Class Valentines
This would be a cute idea for class valentines. All you need to do is take a sharpie and write each classmate’s name on a bookmark. You could also write a couple of positive qualities you like about that person in each of the different colored boxes.
You could also do this for your own children and stick it in a new book to gift them on Valentine’s Day!
Self-Love
Most important of all, is self-love, and that may be where many of us truly struggle. Build up your self-love with affirmations and self-care. In this case, take a bookmark, and write a personal affirmation in each box. When you take out your book to read, you’ll be reminded of how absolutely awesome you are. Just a little reminder tucked away for you. Remember, you are strong, you are beautiful, and you are confident, just to name a few! Fill the entire card with words, if you can!
Love is Beautiful
This Valentine’s Day, be mindful of those you love, those you spend your days learning or working beside, those who are grieving, and those who struggle with self-love. There are so many more ideas for these bookmarks that can help you touch everyone around you.
Much love!
