My diffuser has been filling our home with some sweet Valentines blends lately. When thinking of the holiday, my mind goes straight to floral and woody notes. I want the house to smell uplifting and happy. Honestly, when Valentine’s Day comes around, all I start thinking about is spring!
While I’m a sucker for fresh flowers, I don’t buy into the commercialism of Valentine’s Day. Honestly, I want to enjoy the scent without the sticker price. Here I’ve created a little farmhouse bouquet blend that leaves you feeling relaxed, as all three essential oils help to combat stress. I enjoy adding this blend to my diffuser in the evenings, when it’s time to wind down for the day.
This next scent is also floral, but it’s also a bit earthy with a hint of citrus. I love the scent of roses, and when you combine it with frankincense and bergamot, you get a soft yet uplifting blend. Rose and frankincense help to relax you, and bergamot is citrusy, giving your mood a boost. It’s a great blend to put in your diffuser on a rainy or snowy February day.
This last scent is probably my favorite. It’s such a nice blend to diffuse in the morning when you’re looking to feel motivate, yet relaxed. The sage helps reduce your stress levels, and the rose helps you relax your muscles. On the other hand, the sandalwood makes you feel alert, and the bergamot lifts your mood. It is really a very pretty and happy blend.
During our cold February days leading up to Valentines in our home, you can bet that we have one of these blends going in our diffuser. After a long snowy January, it’s nice to look forward to spring days with the ones you love, all while celebrating love in general.
