Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life.

The first element is physical wellness. It is about taking care of your body, from its nutritional needs to movement to adapting other healthy habits that improve your quality of life. Then, comes emotional. Here, you work on increasing your self-esteem and self-acceptance, as well as expressing your thoughts and feelings in a healthy way. Both of these lead into spiritual wellness, where you develop a set of values and guided beliefs that help to give your life direction and purpose. This is also where mindfulness comes into play.
Next, comes social wellness, which is connecting and engaging with others in meaningful ways, giving you a sense of belonging. This lead into intellectual. Humans need to keep their minds active, engaged, and inspired, and others play a big role in this element. Last, but not least, is environmental . As we know, what we put into our environment directly impacts our Earth’s wellness, as well as our own.
Caring for these six elements leads to well-being and happiness.
