Being mindful is about finding the ability to fully relax, to stay present in the moment without your mind whisking you away to a place of constant worrying. Although it can be challenging to do at times, we all have the ability. Over the past century, the American lifestyle has changed. Today, the average lifestyle is fast-paced and at times, unreasonable. This is quite the opposite of mindfulness, so it makes sense that we can be out of practice when it comes to accessing our ability to be mindful. Examples being to take short pauses in life, to put down our screens, to allow for a lazy afternoon.
Mindfulness is a lifestyle that brings with it less stress, natural curiosity, and added awareness into everything we do. It helps us be resilient, happier, and more patient. We learn to be more aware of our selves and our needs.
By practicing being mindful, we can find meaning in our lives. One way to do this is through meditation. Meditation is grounding, enlightening, and calming. It helps us to become in tune with our body and mind.
